The Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Group provides advice and counsel to the clients of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP on all aspects of commercial transactions, including the drafting and negotiation of forms, contract documents, warranties, security agreements, letters of credit and mechanics' liens.

Present in all commercial transactions is the possibility that a client's customer or another party to a client's contract may experience financial difficulties or may become involved in bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings. Attorneys in the Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Group have substantial bankruptcy experience which is utilized in advising clients in the planning, structuring and documentation of commercial transactions so as to protect the clients, wherever possible, should a customer's bankruptcy or insolvency occur.

The Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Group engages in a broad spectrum of debtor-creditor relations, including collections and enforcement of judgments, workouts and negotiated restructuring of debt. For situations in which bankruptcy occurs, attorneys in the Group have substantial experience in handling bankruptcy matters on behalf of both creditors and debtors.
