Additionally, in conjunction with the Firm's Real Estate & Banking Group, the Real Estate & Title Litigation Group handles disputes involving a property's boundaries, zoning and use. Also, the Group's lawyers counsel and represent clients with respect to the various federal and state environmental laws and regulations, including CERCLA and RCRA on the federal level and the Pennsylvania Solid Waste Management Act on the state level.
Finally, the Real Estate & Title Litigation Group has an extensive experience with title insurance claims and litigation. For a number of years, the Group's attorneys have represented two of the largest title insurance carriers in western Pennsylvania. This representation has involved defending claims made against those carriers ranging from coal rights, gas wells, municipal claims, property line boundary disputes, title clearance demands and interpretation of deeds and other critical documents relating to title and title restrictions.
