About the Speakers
Dennis Unkovic is a partner at Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP, a law firm of 50+ attorneys handling a wide variety of business transactions, corporate litigation, and technology and intellectual property matters.

He has extensive experience with inbound and outbound foreign direct investment transactions and works closely with companies, financial institutions, not-for-profit entities, and trade associations in the United States and abroad. His work has taken him to over 64 countries, with particular emphasis on the Pacific Rim. Mr. Unkovic has written nine books and over 165 articles that have been published both nationally and internationally. He served from May 2015 to May 2018 as the Chairman of Meritas, a global alliance of law firms committed to rigorous quality standards for its 7,500 members around the world.

Mr. Unkovic earned his B.A. with distinction from the University of Virginia and received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.

David Iwinski has worked in international business management in Asia and Europe for over 31 years. He is currently the Managing Director of Blue Water Growth LLC, a global merger and acquisition advisory firm.

Prior to that, he was the founding Chief Executive Officer of Acusis LLC, a medical technology, software and transcription company.

Before starting Acusis, Mr. Iwinski spent four years with Respironics, living in Hong Kong, as Managing Director for China and South East Asia.

An attorney by training, Mr. Iwinski spent eight years with Daimler-Benz Transportation, working as a Contract Negotiator and later as an International Commercial Coordinator. Mr. Iwinski earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1984, with a B.A. in Literature and a Minor in Music. In 1988 he earned his J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
