Pittsburgh, PA – January 19, 2022 – Meyer, Unkovic & Scott is pleased to announce that attorney Edwin W. Russell has been named a partner in the firm.
Edwin W. Russell is a member of the firm’s Private Clients Group. He focuses his practice on estate and trust planning, administration, and related litigation matters, as well as counseling clients on taxation matters. Edwin regularly prepares sophisticated estate plans for clients designed to minimize Federal Estate and Gift Taxes while focusing on the client’s wealth transfer and business succession goals. In addition, he represents clients involved in tax controversy matters with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and the Internal Revenue Service.
He serves on the Allegheny County Bar Association Probate and Trust Law Section Council and is a member of the Bar Association’s Taxation Section, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh. Edwin received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University. Edwin earned a LLM in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law.
In his spare time, he volunteers for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.
Edwin is a lifetime resident of, and continues to make his home in, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.
