Brandon A. Betts is an Associate in Meyer, Unkovic & Scott’s Multi-Employer Plan & Employee Benefits and Private Clients Practice Groups.
Brandon’s practice is focused on representation of multiemployer and single employer employee benefit plans. Brandon’s services include assisting with plan design, drafting, and compliance with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and the Affordable Care Act. Brandon’s clients include defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, health and welfare plans, and apprenticeship programs.
Brandon advises multiemployer plan clients on changes brought on by the 2019 SECURE Act as well as compliance with the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (“FCRA”), the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (“CARES” Act) and various provisions of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, including the Mental Health Parity Act, the No Surprises Act and medical billing transparency requirements.
Brandon also works in the Private Clients Practice Group in the area of estate planning and administration, drafting wills, trusts, and ancillary documents and helping clients navigate the estate administration process.

Additional Information
Before joining Meyer, Unkovic & Scott, Brandon served as a law clerk for Justice David N. Wecht of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. While in law school, Brandon worked as a law clerk for the City of Pittsburgh’s Law Department.
Brandon attended Penn State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in History and minors in Business and Italian. During college, Brandon spent a semester abroad, studying in Rome.
Brandon grew up in Murrysville, Pennsylvania and now resides in Ohio Township with his wife Amanda and their sons.
