Meritas® Releases A Global Roadmap to Personal Data Protection: MUS Partners Dennis Unkovic and Michael Monyok Served as Global Editor/U.S. Author

Meyer, Unkovic & Scott partners Dennis Unkovic and Michael Monyok served as global editor and U.S. author, respectively, for the recently released Meritas® Law Firms Worldwide book A Global Roadmap to Personal Data Protection Asia Pacific, Europe & USA.

Currently, a confusing myriad of laws and regulations exist throughout the world with respect to data security and protection. As businesses expand their reach to customers throughout the world, knowledge of local data protection laws is no longer sufficient.  The new publication provides a detailed look at data security laws for multiple countries including China, Hong Kong, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the United States, and is geared toward helping readers in their efforts to make sense of the disparate data protection laws that exist throughout the international marketplace today. As editor, Unkovic worked closely with Meritas® members throughout the world in producing the publication, and Monyok authored the section on U.S. data protection laws and regulations.
