MUS Partner Kevin Israel Will Be A Featured Presenter At CMU’s Commercialization Workshop

Meyer, Unkovic & Scott’s Kevin Israel will co-present on the topic of “Accounting 101 for Startups” at Carnegie Mellon University’s (CMU) Schwartz Center for Entrepreneurship’s Inside/Out Commercialization Workshop on September 17 from noon to 1:00 p.m.

The workshop provides fundamental and practical advice on setting up a successful accounting system for startup entities. Topics covered will include: choice-of-entity decisions, pertinent tax filings and tax credits available, how to prepare for investor due diligence, and in-house vs. outsourced bookkeeping options.

Israel is a member of the Meyer, Unkovic & Scott’s Corporate & Business Law, MUSolutions, and Private Clients groups. He advises founders of new venture startups on entity formation and corporate finance in addition to advising individuals and principals of closely-held and family-owned businesses in the areas of estate and succession planning, income tax planning, and business transactions.
