Pittsburgh, PA, September 17, 2026 – Meyer Unkovic & Scott is pleased to announce that partner Derek J. Markle has been named President of the Financial Industries Network (FIN), a longstanding professional organization serving Pittsburgh’s financial services and business communities.
FIN traces its history to the Bankers Exchange Bureau, which was founded in the early 1900s, and today brings together professionals from financial institutions, law firms, accounting firms, insurance companies, real estate organizations, and other businesses serving the financial industry. Through its educational programs, professional forums, and networking events, FIN provides opportunities for participants to exchange ideas, develop industry relationships, and engage with clients, colleagues, and other leaders throughout the region.
Derek previously served as FIN’s Vice President and has been actively involved in the organization’s programming and leadership. As President, he will lead FIN’s Board of Directors and support the organization’s continued efforts to provide relevant educational programming and meaningful opportunities for engagement across Pittsburgh’s financial services community.
Derek J. Markle is a partner in Meyer Unkovic & Scott’s Real Estate & Lending Group. His practice focuses on commercial lending and finance transactions, commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and other complex real estate and financing matters.
