The real estate lawyers at Meyer, Unkovic & Scott are involved on a daily basis with some of the most significant real estate projects in Western Pennsylvania. The members of the Real Estate & Lending Group have worked on projects ranging from shopping centers to office complexes to large and small scale residential projects. For example:

In order to construct a “power center” shopping center in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh, which will ultimately consist of more than one million square feet of space, the Real Estate & Lending Group negotiated and drafted several agreements of sale to assemble the necessary property. Our lawyers then overcame significant opposition and were instrumental in helping the client obtain all necessary approvals for the development. We then assisted in the negotiation of financing terms and the successful closing of the construction loan for the project.

We have represented, since its inception, the developers of Pittsburgh’s largest planned residential community. Our involvement with this project has included not only representation in acquisition and financing but also development and sale of a golf course, negotiations with state environmental and transportation agencies and representation of the project’s community association.

The Real Estate & Lending Group represented a major national retail chain in the development of “big box” retail stores in the Pittsburgh area. We counseled the client throughout the entire process, including the acquisition of properties, obtaining all federal state and municipal permits and approvals and the review and negotiation of construction contracts.
