Chiara F. Orsini is a member of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott’s Intellectual Property Group. She prepares, prosecutes and protects patents, trademarks and copyrights (common law, state, federal, U.S. and foreign), and negotiates, drafts and enforces various IP agreements on behalf of clients. Her litigation experience includes general corporate, civil, and intellectual property matters.
Orsini previously worked for the University of Pittsburgh’s Office of Technology Transfer. There she managed the University’s patent portfolio and all pending patent prosecution matters, and developed patent prosecution strategies for various technologies, collaborating with licensing managers to maximize intellectual property protection and value. She also interned with the Honorable Donetta Ambrose, U.S. District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania.
Orsini graduated magna cum laude from Chatham College, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. She is a 2000 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she served as a research editor of the Law Review, and was awarded a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.
Orsini is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the Western District of Pennsylvania, and in the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
