W. Grant Scott Elected Fellow in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL)

Pittsburgh, PA – April 30, 2024 –Meyer, Unkovic & Scott is pleased to announce that W. Grant Scott, Chair of the firm’s Real Estate & Lending Group, was elected a Fellow in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) this spring.  ACREL is the select national association of preeminent commercial real estate lawyers, where Fellows are admitted by invitation only after a thorough vetting process.

ACREL Fellows are selected for “their outstanding legal ability, experience, and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of real estate law.”  With the election of Grant as an ACREL Fellow, Meyer, Unkovic & Scott now has two lawyers (out of only three in the Pittsburgh region) recognized by ACREL.

Grant counsels clients in every segment of industrial and commercial real estate, such as structuring, negotiation, and documentation of sophisticated real estate transactions, including the acquisition, sale, sale-leaseback, and disposition of real properties. He also advises owners and tenants on leasing agreements, counsels borrowers on financing, and works on the real estate components of mergers, acquisitions, and dissolutions.  He is the longest tenured member of the firm’s Management Committee, having served since 2001.

He received his J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law and his B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.  Grant and his wife, Cindy, have three adult children and two grandchildren; and reside in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
