Gary M. Sanderson works with new and established companies to navigate complex business transactions and disputes, including matters that involve real estate, creditors’ rights/bankruptcy, construction and corporate transactions.

While growing up in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, Gary lived in a log cabin. He settled in Pittsburgh after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh.  He now lives in the North Hills with his wife and four children.  Prior to joining the firm, Gary studied abroad in Rome, Italy. While in law school, Gary served as both a law clerk at an immigration law firm and a Teaching Assistant for international attorneys learning about the American legal system. Gary is active in the Allegheny County Bar Association and other professional and non-profit organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors of Providence Connections, Inc., a local nonprofit serving the Northside communities through family support and early childhood education. In his spare time, Gary enjoys playing guitar, photography, kayaking, and running.  He also has assisted with several of his children’s youth sports groups including volunteering with Brad Mar Pine Baseball and service as an assistant soccer coach with the North Allegheny Soccer Club.

  • Represent businesses throughout all stages of company life cycle – formation, development, commercialization, growth, and exit.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements for clients in various industries, with significant expertise in drafting agreements in the construction industry on projects that collectively have exceeded $500 million in construction costs.
  • Negotiate, draft, and close stock sale, purchase and redemption transactions, asset sale and purchase transactions, and mergers and conversions.
  • Negotiate, draft, and close real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, deeds, leases, easements, and right of ways.
  • Assist businesses with receiverships and work outs, and pursue debtors in bankruptcy and collection cases.
  • Assist in the litigation of real estate, commercial, and construction disputes, including title, zoning, eviction, tax assessment appeals, mechanic’s liens, and foreclosures.
