Brittany M. Bloam is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She represents business clients in a variety of litigation matters, including complex commercial disputes, employment issues, land use and real estate issues, and construction cases. Ms. Bloam also has experience counseling employers in preventing and defending workers compensation claims, and has represented parties in personal injury, negligence, and bad faith insurance matters. She is adept at communicating complex legal concepts to all audiences, including clients, courts, and government entities.

A 2011 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Ms. Bloam served as a Managing Editor of the Pitt Law Review and earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Writing & Analysis. Ms. Bloam graduated magna cum laude from Gettysburg College in 2007 and is a proud member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Ms. Bloam was chosen by her peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine “Rising Star” for the years 2016 – 2018.

  • Represented parties on both sides of lawsuits arising from commercial contracts, experience with claims for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, negligence, declaratory judgment, and Unfair Practices and Consumer Protection Law
  • Analyze liability of 12 related corporate entities and obligations of their individual members; prepare strategy to seize control of controlling entities
  • Represented closely-held partnership in complicated dispute among family members regarding ownership of and distributions from 15 related corporate entities

Real Estate Matters

  • Represented property owners and developers in land use actions governed by private restrictive covenants, local ordinances, and the Municipal Planning Code; validity challenges of local zoning ordinances; land use appeals before local municipalities, trial courts, and appellate courts
  • Represented landowners in partition actions, eminent domain proceedings
  • Represented and counseled both unit owners property owners / condominium associations regarding assessments, voting rights, and other obligations under the Declaration, Uniform Planned Community Act, and Uniform Condominium Act
  • Experience representing both landlords and tenants in commercial and residential eviction proceedings

Construction Matters

  • Represented commercial and residential contractors in disputes with subcontractors, material suppliers
