Unkovic has traveled to 64 countries over the last 35 years, with significant involvement in transactions in China, India, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and throughout Europe. For three years he served as Chair of the Board of Meritas, an international legal network of 7,800 lawyers in 92 countries.

Unkovic is a corporate lawyer with significant international M&A experience. He negotiates complex commercial transactions, such as international mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, and joint ventures. He has handled a substantial number of inbound and outbound direct foreign investment projects.  Unkovic works for both U.S. companies and foreign entities and serves as an arbitrator in significant international arbitration proceedings.
