During one of the most disruptive times in the history of the construction industry—and plenty of other industries for that matter—most individual general contractors or subcontractors shoulder little blame if a project is delayed by a supply-chain slowdown or government-imposed shutdown. That, however, is little consolation when these events damage your business or impact your bottom line.

That said, with the proper contract provisions in place and prudent decision-making, construction industry professionals actually can create more agency for themselves during unstable and turbulent times.
